Climate Stew Heads to England for Greenbelt!

Peterson here, back from three weeks in Colorado. I hope you have been enjoying the Climate Stew podcast. This week we are looking at mothers and ask, “Why are they not talking about climate change?”

I am very pleased to announce that in late August I will pack up Marvin Bloom, Timothy Meadows, Tony Buffusio, Elizabeth Jeremiah, and whoever else may fit in my suitcase, and head to England for the annual Greenbelt Festival. This is a large three-day Christian arts festival held this year in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

I have performed at Greenbelt three times before (2006, 2008, and 2012) and each time I have new work to share. This year I will get to take my audiences with me into the worlds of climate comedy and climate justice. Fusing comedy, personal storytelling, and art, I have a feeling that this new work–looking at climate change as a human rights issue, a very queer issue, and a faith issue–will connect deeply with audiences.

Check out my contributor’s page over at the Greenbelt site, see some video from my last visit, and find out more about this festival–my all time favorite place to present my work.

Thinking of you when I listed to the last CCL national call with MOM Keya Chatterjee. So impressed I bought her book The Zero Footprint Baby. I’m not a mom, but my niece is, as are many other people I know. Keya C. is amazing and I am loving her book.

      I meant listened, not listed.
